Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 2026
Scholar Ghana is committed to making our website and applicant dashboard usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Access to scholarships and the ability to support students should never be limited by how someone accesses the web.
Our Approach
- Pages are built with semantic HTML, visible focus states, and skip-to-content links so the site can be navigated by keyboard alone.
- Interactive components — including the FAQ accordion, mobile navigation menu, and forms — use appropriate ARIA attributes so they work well with screen readers.
- Color combinations are chosen for sufficient contrast, and the site respects your device's "reduce motion" setting by minimizing animation.
- The platform is designed mobile-first and tested across common phone, tablet, and desktop screen sizes.
Ongoing Work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As we add new features — including the donation and scholarship application flows — we review them against standard accessibility practices (informed by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG) and correct issues as they are identified.
Let Us Know
If you encounter any barrier while using Scholar Ghana, please tell us. Include the page you were on and a description of the issue so we can address it as quickly as possible, at info@scholarghana.org or via WhatsApp using the link in our footer.
